Pre-K

Our Pre-K program is structured to recognize a child’s “whole” self.

Our PRE-K, Kindergarten Readiness Program, educates children from four years through five years of age. We stand by our philosophy to focus on a child’s emotional as well as academic growth. These years are very crucial to a child’s positive development in all areas. We will encourage your children to explore the world around them in both “free play” centers as well as more structured centers such as reading, writing and science. Our weekly lesson plans include an opportunity to learn a second language such as Spanish, French, or Sign Language.  A curriculum that reinforces standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the State of Delaware Department of Education, will enrich your child’s education. Should you have an questions, please feel free to contact us.

We have attached a developmental outline that summarizes the areas that we focus on in this program.

CONTINUED CARE

Pre-K, which is our Kindergarten Readiness Program, is the last program before a child moves onto kindergarten.

We continue to stress independence as well as self help skills.

Your child will not only be academically ready for kindergarten, but also ready on a social/emotional level for their transition to kindergarten.

The focus will be on the fundamentals of hands-on learning experiences.

Our Pre-K program will limit the use of technology as the skills that are truly important are getting along with others, being able to communicate effectively, and to be kind.  It is our philosophy that children are exposed to technology/devices at home, so while with us during our day, we want to focus on the fundamentals of hands-on learning experiences and social/emotional growth as an individual and as a part of a group.
