Preschool

We focus on a child’s emotional as well as academic growth.

Our PRESCHOOL PROGRAM educates children from three years through four years of age. Our program is structured to recognize a child’s “whole” self. By using this philosophy, we focus on a child’s emotional as well as academic growth. These years are very crucial to a child’s positive development in all areas. A child is encouraged to explore the world around them in both “free play” centers as well as more structured centers such as reading, writing, and science.

Our weekly lesson plans include an opportunity to learn a second language such as Spanish, French, and Sign Language. Computer enrichment classes are offered to children in this program. Should you have any questions, please contact us.

Our curriculum reinforces standards set forth by both the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the State of Delaware Department of Public Education. We have attached a developmental outline that summarizes the areas that we focus on in this particular program.

CONTINUED CARE

Our preschool classrooms are designed with young learners in mind.

We work on self help and problem-solving skills in this program, in addition to age-appropriate academics.

There are many opportunities for exploration with different centers offered within the classroom.  In our Preschool Program we stress independence as this is the stage where children are preparing for PreK, our Kindergarten Readiness Program.

Safe outdoor playtime.

Children enjoy an age appropriate out door space for gross motor development to get the wiggles out during our day.

Social/Emotional awareness is an important component of our preschool program.

We believe that learning to share, learning to be compassionate to others, and learning to be a good friend is stressed in this program. Therefore, learning to control BIG emotions is a goal of our Preschool Program as children begin to view the world around them with more understanding of basic concepts.
