Toddlers

Our program is structured to recognize a child’s “whole” self.

Our Toddlers program educates children from one year through two years of age. We will uphold our philosophy to focus on your child’s emotional as well as academic growth. As we understand, these years are very crucial to a child’s positive development in all areas. Therefore, children are encouraged to explore the world around them in “free play” centers. Also offered are more structured centers such as letter recognition, gross and fine motor skill development as well as other basic skills. Additionally, our weekly lesson plans include an opportunity to learn a second language such as Spanish, French, and Sign Language. Our curriculum reinforces standards set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the State of Delaware Department of Education. Should you have any questions, please contact us.

We have attached a developmental outline that summarizes the areas that we focus on in this program.

CONTINUED GROWTH

Our Toddlers classrooms are designed with explorers in mind needs.

Comfortable Environment

The furniture is intentionally sized to help our toddlers learn to sit at tables and move confidently around the classroom, which features low book and toy shelves designed specifically for their needs.

Play with Safety

We encourage safe play by dedicating a Toddler outdoor play space, thoughtfully designed to support safe exploration, physical development, and age-appropriate play.

Transitioning from the Infant Program to the Toddler Program can be stressful for any family.

We, management and teachers, do work with each family individually to make sure your child is prepared for this transition. Each child, being unique, is evaluated prior to being transitioned from the Infant Program to this program to be sure to limit the stress for the child and the family.
